‘The Visit’ to vie at Islantilla Cineforum

Acclaimed Iranian short film ‘The Visit’ has been slated to take part in the Under the Moon International Film Festival (Islantilla Cineforum) in Spain.

Directed by Azadeh Mousavi, the 14-minute short film will be on screen at the main competition section of the Spanish event’s 14th edition.

‘The Visit’ is the story of a woman named Elaheh who is preparing to get her first visit with her incarcerated husband after several months. On this visit her little daughter will accompany her.

The cast list of the flick includes Mahin Sadri, Maneli Nafar, Afshin Hashemi and Ehsan Bayatfar.

The film has already been screened at a number of global fests, including the Exground Film Festival in Germany, the Kaohsiung Film Festival in Taiwan and the Figari Film Festival in Italy.

The Islantilla Cineforum is a hub for film-lovers, inviting them to enjoy the most avant-garde audiovisual proposals in the best of settings on the beach.

It is an initiative promoted by the Mancomunidad de Islantilla in collaboration with various public and private entities.

Activities of the fest take place during July and August to enjoy the night and the projections under the moonlight.

This year’s edition of the Spanish film event will kick off on July 3.
